Shakthi's Samadhi

Background
Shakthi hails from the southern coastal part of India. Born and raised in a conservative Brahmin family, she followed the rituals for namesake and never really was inclined towards it.  She always had a fascination for Nirgun and that lead her to meditation and seeking the divine more in those lines.

Vishwaroop
She visited my home during one of the puja for Sri Yantra in 2015 before our trip to Badrinath from various spiritual centers of India.  During one of the spiritual pitstop to Belur Math, Kolkatta, while crossing the Ganges to Dakshineswar it started raining heavily.  Shakthi suddenly went into a spontaneous trance. She saw a Vishwaroop of Ma Kali charted across the sky and said God is in every particle why are we going to see her in a temple.  Her Trance was permeable and all of who were present on that boat felt it. We all came out in rain on the boat. The drops of rain were charged with divine blessing. It took her an hour to come back to normalcy but she was repeating why are we searching for her in the temple she is everywhere. And it was actually on our first darshan Ma Kali was missing from her stone Murthi. In the evening on our second darshan, she said now she is there in her Stone Statue and we all felt it.

Awakening
Her next experience was in the Vyasa caves of Mana (Badrinath) where we had planned to stay that night in Vyasa Gufa (Famous for the mythological account of Rishi Ved Vyasa dictating lord Ganapathi the Mahabharath) She suddenly felt a cyclical wave in her body and gradually her body started twisting and turning to a strange rhythm, she explained that she was aware of it but she had no control on her bodily movements. I was talking to her throughout and at one point Priest asked her to bow at the idol of Veda Vyasa for which she promptly replied: "God is everywhere and not only housed in an idol" This episode lasted for 1.5 hours.

After the trip, Shakthi continued her meditations and her seeking led her to the sacred hills of Arunachala and the saint: Ramana Maharishi. His teachings felt very intuitive to her and she held on to these.

Samadhi
I met her again in 2019 when I started working in Sathya Sai Hospital as a Neurologist. She now was pursuing Psychology masters and I offered her the role of Intern in our department which she readily agreed. She would often come to me with personal mental setbacks and I exclaimed to her that past life regression might bring some of the dirt from her past out and help her spiritual sadhana. She was fearful of the entire proposal and was never keen on it.

About 4 months back she started hearing Gayathri mantra in her mind spontaneously and she tried repeating it loudly and felt it is better to just hear it when it plays. She felt very calm after it and the stresses of her life looked insignificant. One day when she was suffering from severe headache she asked me to give her reiki. When I began, she immediately knew she was getting reiki (Her eyes were closed). and when I stopped it she felt that a blanket was pulled from her body. Her headache receded after it.

A few days back she asked me to do past life regression. This time she commented that those words just came out of her mouth without a thought. Since I was free that day we decided to go ahead. She laid on the bed and I started my process with a sole witness being her friend. As I was meditating She immediately went into the trance and said that she can see a white light and nothing else, I nudged her asking if she is seeing any form and she denied. As she went further into the light she said that it was endless and peaceful. She lost awareness of her body and the manifest universe. It was bright light everywhere unlike Jyotirling of a pillar of light. She felt she was floating and exclaimed that she is unaware of how she is talking without her mouth and she is alive despite the lack of the body. She felt her awareness is spreading. I asked her to pray for her ailing mother and she replied that there is no mother. Her body started stretching her neck and spine stretched what we call opisthotonus posture or Ardha dhanurasan. At that point, we thought of taking a video of the session. I was on her head end and here eyes were closed. As soon as we started taking video she ordered: "stop recording". After some time she got up and sat in Sukhasan (which she cannot do when awake). Her hands were in Akash Mudra (Thumb and middle finger touching), unlike usual Dhayan mudra where thumb and ring finger touches. After some time she stretched her both and blessing posture and giving me Reiki. She was asking me to go beyond which I was not able to. It was more than half an hour she wanted to come out and on asking to come down to the room and open her eyes. She was confused and then started weeping. She wanted to go back to the formless state in white light. She was saying I don't want to come back to this mundane world. After an hour quite and confused she came back to her original state with all worldly worries and thoughts.

She had no memory of the process except getting very crisp command by some spiritual master to go beyond.
