Communicating with brain dead patient.

Mrs. Jan was a 31-year-old admitted with a stroke and became brain dead. Her brother asked, 1. If she is brain dead, where is the soul? Is it inside the body or outside? 

2. If the soul is inside the body, why are we troubling it when there is no chance of recovery? 

3. If the soul is outside the body, then she is dead, why are we supporting her body?”

I had no answer to his spiritual queries, but Ms. BLS, my previous patient who could be hypnotized easily and see beyond, came to the rescue. BLS was known to Jan and was sad due to her illness. On hypnotizing her, she went up and saw white light. Then came down and saw, “She is there outside her body. Can you talk to her, talk to her and find out what she wants? Her karma is losing down. Why did she suffer? Can you go to her past? She is sorry. For what? Don’t know. She is there outside; she is losing her karma. She wants to come back. I also want to come. Where? To her life, but she loses further she wants to come back. What shall we do? Her karma is getting less and we should develop karma. How shall we improve karma? By good things, like giving, but her only brain is partially damaged, other parts are strong now also. Do you think her relatives should do something to improve karma? She needs that very much. What should they do? By helping other patients, kind of similar. She is happy, yes. Why? Because she could know that everybody loves her, all her sad mood has gone. I also feel happy. Ask her what she wants from her brother and sister? She is in a happy mood, I also feel happy. She again wants to come back, she does not want to leave.

After the session, the family gathered and decided to help poor patients. They went to the general hospital and donated 1000 Rs to 500 poor patients and went to the children's hospital and donated the same amount to another 250 patients. The next morning, they went to the slaughterhouse to rescue animals (15) which were looking at them and sent them to their farmhouse.

The next evening, BLS came back and hypnotized, “Were you going up? Yes, brighter and brighter, I feel good, I am floating, I don’t feel weight, feel good. Krishna is there. Can you come to the ICU? Can you see Mrs. Jan? She is sick, very sick, but she is there, she is outside. She is happy, she is suffering but she is outside, she loves everyone, she is shining. Is she happy about what her brother did? Yes, she is shining. How long does her body have to suffer? She is getting worse now, but she is not getting pain, the body is suffering, she is looking at everyone. Can she see her children? Yes, but now she is looking at her body. What is her shape? Now she is a shining flame, but now it is not very thick, transparent but shines, she is happy, she is……. Can she leave her body and meet her husband and children? Yes, but she wants to stay there; she can’t move, it is impossible, she is very happy. Does she want to give any message to her brother? She is very happy, she loves all, she is very happy, around her is very bright, she is developing her karma because people praise her. People want to be her in a good plane. She is bright yellow, and she is very happy. I am going up, she is happy, also moving with, can’t take her.

Third session: “She is very happy, she got lots of merits, and she is glowing like a star. She could move now, she is very happy, she will take another birth. Where? I don’t know if she will go soon. Can you see where she is going to take birth? Still can’t find it. She is glowing and she looks nice. Is she still attached to the body? No, she is outside watching. How long does she want us to continue ventilation? She is very worried about her husband and kids, but she is happy. She hopes that everyone should care, she believes them. Does she still want to continue to support her body? She is about to take birth after collecting all the merits. She will go away. Any particular time she wants to discontinue the ventilator? No, she doesn't know what the time is. Anything else she wants to tell? She could read everybody's mind.”

After her death, they took the body home and to their surprise, the two kids who had no idea of the seriousness of their mother’s problem told "we knew she is with God". The family was very happy to communicate with her soul and help her transmigration.

Pain in abdomen traced to previous birth

A 20-year-old girl presented with recurrent severe abdominal pain labeled as psychogenic and ridiculed. When no cause for pain was found, she was hypnotized and found that she was brutally stabbed in the abdomen in her previous birth, experiencing similar pain and relief of symptoms thereafter. 

Ms. RLB, a 20-year-old female, was admitted to the hospital with severe recurrent pain in the left lower abdomen, colicky in nature, and lasting for 5-10 minutes, radiating from loin to groin for the last 7 months. She was admitted to several hospitals and treated initially as renal colic but later admitted under psychiatric care. Physical examination was normal except for thoracolumbar scoliosis, which was confirmed in X-Ray spine. Intravenous pyelography (IVP), urine examination, ultrasound abdomen, and MRI spine were normal. She was referred to me by a neurosurgeon and diagnosed with "Somatoform Pain disorder." All her medications were stopped, and she was treated with a placebo during pain with transient relief. Due to the persistence of pain, it was planned to start hypnotic regression to explore her childhood for any traumatic events. 

On the first day of the trial hypnotic session, she saw a dense forest, long trees, and a beautiful waterfall. She was a 13-year-old girl wearing blue pants and a brown shirt. Suddenly, she became tense and said, "I am walking through a road, someone is chasing me. There is a big road and buildings on both sides. He is still behind me." "I am walking through the road. One van is coming. There are people; they want to harass me. They are thugs. I am going, but the van has stopped. One black man with a belly is standing on the roadside with a hat. He wants money from me; they caught me. I don't know what they want; they are asking for money." She was in distress, and I had to go to see patients; hence the procedure was terminated. 

On the second day, immediately after inducing trance, she started floating in a soft white cloud. She visualized Lord Krishna, Swamy Vivekanand. She started flexing her leg and told she had come inside her mother's womb. After birth, she recapitulated her childhood as a lone girl. She was not happy during her adolescence, staying at home, but happy at school with her friends. 

On the third day, she witnessed her tragic life in Varanasi, India, as a princess in 500 BC. "My father was King Brahmadatta. I was wicked, greedy for money, and wanted jewelry. But I helped the poor with money. Mahamantri (Prime Minister) used to steal things for me. I had one brother. I died at 16; Mahamantri poisoned me because he wanted money. 

On the fourth day, she explored details of Varanasi life and after. 

On the fifth day, immediately after induction, she went up. "Going up cannot stop, there is a white ring, - White bright, Gods are there, going up – Krishna is there he loves animals. "I am 21 years old; my parents are English; they lived in India for a long time and now in Sri Lanka. I am going through a forest; they are chasing me, catching me, and trying to kill me; they have killed me." Her abdominal pain reappeared, and she was in similar distress. "I am going up; he has got me killed for money. I never wanted to marry him; he is a bad person; they have hit on my back and chest." 

 After the session, she felt relaxed. I told her the story of killing and went to OP till 7.30 pm. Came back from OP; mother was waiting, and after telling the story, she told me that RLB was born with a large birthmark over the left side of the lower abdomen and left scapular region. The mother was very worried that she would never be able to wear a sari. Slowly it has faded away. Her pain was exactly what she experienced in the back, chest, and abdomen due to beating and stabbing. 

 On the sixth day, she was revisiting her last life and witnessing death. "Smith, my father, and Mother Sarswati Indian; he came to India on a ship in 1930. I took birth in India 1961 and came to Sri Lanka after my mother's death during my brother's birth. Mother is from Varanasi; she is in a higher plane. Brother is Roger Bob Smith; he was my younger brother's son in Varanasi. "He is a bad man Froman after me; I go to the Buddhist temple, Father is in Hantana in a Bungalow, I go to Hantana Hotel. I study at Colombo University. Studied in Girls high school Kandy." "A man chased me; he was also there in Varanasi; he poisoned me; I stayed in Kadawatha. He killed me because I did not want to marry him and like to go to Buddhist temple." 

 Her symptoms were totally relieved following the session. It was not only relief of her symptoms, but what she taught during these sessions was more interesting.
